Kazakhstan Presents National Report on Domestic Violence Prevention at Launch of UN Global Campaign

On November 25, 2025, the launch day of the UN's international campaign "16 Days of Action Against Violence," a key event for Kazakhstan's scientific and analytical community took place: the presentation of the National Report "On the Prevention of Domestic Violence in the Republic of Kazakhstan." The report was prepared by the Kazakhstan Institute of Social Development (KIOR).

Ayaulym Sagynbayeva, Head of the Center for Analysis and Forecasting of Demographic Processes, participated in the event. During the discussion, she emphasized the critical role of domestic violence in the context of the demographic situation, noting its negative impact on key indicators such as fertility, mortality, and divorce and marriage rates in the country.

Representatives of the National Commission on Women's Affairs and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, employees of central and local government agencies, and experts from the scientific and analytical community participated in the discussion of the report.
